On Monday February 6th 2023, a devastating earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8 struck parts of Türkiye (Turkey) and Syria. More earthquakes and aftershocks followed, and the number of affected people is still growing. Tens of thousands of people have lost their lives. Many homes have been destroyed and families torn apart. The situation is grim, and we want to do what we can to help.
The Assassin’s Creed series has close ties to both countries. The first game, released in 2007, was set in 12th century Syria. In 2011 the sequel Assassin’s Creed: Revelations took players on a historical tour of Constantinople—known today as Istanbul in modern day Türkiye.
AC Sisterhood is banding together with a number of other Assassin’s Creed fan communities in a huge collective effort to raise funds for disaster relief in the affected areas. Between February 22 through March 7, 2023, we will be fundraising for Save The Children via our Tiltify campaign. We are working directly with Save The Children to ensure donations are directed where they are most desperately needed.
Every day throughout the entire two-week period there will be Twitch and YouTube livestreams from various streamers where people can donate to the fundraiser. Anyone who joins as a viewer has a chance to win great prizes, and donating will increase your chances to win some truly exclusive, rare Assassin’s Creed-themed collectibles. Many amazing artists have also lent their talents to the cause by donating beautiful art prints as a thank you to donors.
